-- Multichannel News, 2/18/2008 4:28:00 AM

Campbell Brown will host CNN and Univision’s coverage of the Democratic presidential debate between Sens. Hillary Clinton (N.Y.) and Barack Obama (Ill.) on Feb. 21.

The debate, sponsored by the networks and the Texas Democratic Party and presented by the Lyndon B. Johnson Foundation on behalf of the LBJ School of Public Affairs and the LBJ Library, will also feature CNN chief national correspondent John King and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos as panelists asking candidate questions.

The program is scheduled to air live from the University of Texas on CNN and on CNN International from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.(ET) and will air on the leading Spanish-language  broadcaster, Univision.com and it’s AM radio network, RadioCadena, at 11:30 p.m. The debate will stream live on CNN.com and will later be available on demand on both Univision.com and CNN.com. It will also re-air on CNN and CNN en Español.

Almost one-fourth of the residents of Texas, the second most populous state, are of Latino descent, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. The primary is slated for March 4.
