Sorpresa, the Juniper Content-owned children’s network, will launch March 31 on Comcast Hispanic packages Cable Latino and Cable Latino Completo, in the Fresno, Calif., DMA. The network will be on channel 617 in the market, which includes Fresno, Merced, Los Baños, Visalia and Tulare.
For Stewart Butler, Comcast director of sales and marketing, adding Sorpresa in its programming offer for the South Valley area is only part of the company’s “ongoing commitment to offer in-culture and in-language programming that reflects the diverse needs of the community.”
Sorpresa, which is currently available in over 1 million homes nationwide, says it will now be available in 22 of the top 25 Hispanic markets.
